During the Victorian era, the lily of the valley symbolized returning to happiness, joy, and hope after a period of mourning. Oh how time spent with our loved ones can get us out of life's funk and help us get back to this place. I was excited to create this mini series of coffee cup paintings with florals bursting out. These paintings were inspired by cozy moments with loved ones, sipping warm beverages, laughing, enjoying the beauty of life and living in the moment together.” -Sara
